Yoga gives the body its own voice through movement. Each Asana (pose) is like a hieroglyph representing and bringing to consciousness worlds of feeling and experience. The wonder of Yoga is Self-discovery! I have practiced, taught and studied Yoga for more than 35 years, and yet, I am still delighted and amazed by the inner wisdom it continues to reveal to those who practice it. Yoga is both challenging and subtle; but there are no ‘levels’—everyone works at their own edge. It’s not about perfection or pretzel poses; it is an Odyssey into the Mysteries of being human.

Yoga provides a framework from which to create healthy physical patterns within the parameters of gravity and to resolve lingering emotional residue. Each pose represents a certain attitude, feeling/emotion, and energetic quality.  Experiencing it is the only way of understanding it: be present in it, noticing, feeling and listening. Let it reveal its secrets to you.

As your practice unfolds, it draws you inward to a deeper understanding and knowledge of your own energy ecosystem. You will begin to feel your natural energetic, emotional and movement patterns. You will begin to cultivate and experience energy at a more conscious level and nurture this energy for greater health, harmony and longevity.

Classes are a dance of enlivening breath and gentle movement; a fusion of concentration and awareness; a balance of strength and flexibility. All these qualities converge to create a dynamic flow of energy and vitality in your body, your mind and your psyche. My approach is based in the Kripalu philosophy of Self-discovery, learning from inner wisdom; and in variations of Ashtanga, Amrit and Bikram posture sequences along with Kundalini spinal flexibility and core strength. This flow of Yoga postures puts you in harmony with the essence of life and helps students to feel lighter, more alert, mentally and physically stronger, peaceful—more Alive.
